Inductive Sensors
Metal detection with no contact and nothing to wear out. Ten groups, split by what the job throws at the sensor: weld spatter, wash-down, 250 °C ovens, mixed metals, or a hose full of rivets.
10 sensor groups

Inductive Sensors of the Basic Series
Basic-series inductive sensors detect metal objects without contact in standard applications, and weproTec technology lets several sensors run right next to each other without interference.
Key Specifications:
- 6 products, in M8 × 1, M12 × 1 and M18 × 1 threaded housings
- Switching distance up to 20 mm (2 mm for flush M8, 20 mm for non-flush M18)
- IP67, so dust and moisture don't affect them
- PNP NO output, switching frequency up to 400 Hz

Inductive Sensors with Standard Switching Distances
These sensors use electromagnetic induction to detect metal objects without contact. Several ranges, formats and housing materials are available, and they keep detecting moving parts through dirt and vibration.
Key Specifications:
- 27 products, switching distance up to 10 mm
- Housings from Ø 4 mm and M5 × 0.5 up to M30 × 1.5, plus 10 × 16 × 28 mm cuboid
- IP67, ambient temperature -40 to 80 °C
- Switching frequency up to 5,000 Hz; brass, stainless steel or plastic housings

Inductive Sensors with Increased Switching Distances
These sensors reach up to three times the switching distance of standard inductive sensors, and weproTec technology lets several of them run side by side without faults.
Key Specifications:
- 222 products, switching distance up to 40 mm
- Housings from Ø 3 mm and M4 miniatures to M30 × 1.5 and 40 × 40 × 55 mm (1Q)
- IP67 (some IP68), ambient temperature -40 to 80 °C
- Switching frequency up to 3,000 Hz; PNP or NPN, cable or M8/M12 connector

Inductive Sensors with IO-Link
IO-Link sensors pass data from the field level to the controller. A diagnostic output supports preventive maintenance, and the PNP or NPN output can be programmed as NC or NO.
Key Specifications:
- 10 products, switching distance up to 40 mm
- M8, M12, M18 and M30 threaded housings, plus 40 × 40 × 55 mm (1Q)
- Programmable PNP/NPN/push-pull output with error output
- Switching frequency up to 770 Hz; nickel-plated brass or ABS housing

Inductive Sensors with Full-Metal Housing
The full-metal housing is 316L stainless steel (1.4404/V4A), so these sensors withstand impacts, chemicals and high-pressure water. Versions with ATEX approval for 3G and 3D zones can be used where explosion risk is high.
Key Specifications:
- 29 products in the WashDown family, switching distance up to 30 mm
- Stainless steel 316L housings in M8, M12, M18 and M30
- IP68 and IP69K
- Ambient temperature -25 to 80 °C; M8 3-pin or M12 4-pin connector

Inductive Sensors with Analog Output
These sensors detect metal objects and output the distance as a proportional, almost linear voltage signal, even in dirty conditions. Correction factor 1 gives the same switching distance on different metals.
Key Specifications:
- 4 products
- Measuring ranges from 1.5–4.5 mm up to 3–13 mm
- M18 × 1 and M30 × 1.5 threaded housings, flush or non-flush
- Correction factor 1 on all metals

Inductive Sensors Welding Field Resistant with Correction Factor 1
These sensors detect different metals at the same switching distance. A Teflon coating protects them from weld spatter, and they hold up well against magnetic DC and AC fields.
Key Specifications:
- 8 products, switching distance up to 50 mm
- M12, M18 and M30 threaded housings, plus 40 × 40 × 55 mm (1Q)
- PTFE-coated nickel-plated brass or ABS housing
- PNP NC+NO output, switching frequency up to 4,200 Hz

Inductive Sensors with Selective Performance
These sensors tell ferromagnetic metals such as iron and steel apart from non-ferromagnetic metals such as aluminum, brass, copper and stainless steel, with contactless, wear-free detection.
Key Specifications:
- 4 products
- Switching distance 15 mm or 25 mm, flush or non-flush
- PNP NC+NO output
- Switching frequency up to 500 Hz

Inductive Sensors for Extreme Temperature Ranges
These sensors detect metal objects without contact at extreme temperatures. They combine increased switching distances with a robust build meant to last several years.
Key Specifications:
- 42 products: sets, 8 sensor heads and 14 analysis modules
- Sensor head temperature range -10 to 250 °C or -60 to 450 °C
- Switching distance up to 40 mm
- Cable lengths 1 to 20 m between head and analysis module

Inductive Ring Sensors
Ring sensors detect small metal parts from 2 mm in feed hoses. The housing splits apart, so the sensor goes on and off the hose quickly.
Key Specifications:
- Sizes: four, from R2 to R8
- Detects metal parts from 2 mm
- Static or dynamic detection
- Outputs: NPN, PNP or push-pull
